They are Windows 2003 but no citrix. And the printers are on user PCs.

Dennis,
None of the other respondents probed as to how the printers are shared. Are they connected to the server? Or to user PCs? Or to Jet Directs (or equivalents)?
In our plants we have a dedicated print server (W2k Server) and every printer is on a Jet Direct. I think we've found some issues with the Netgear print server devices, though they are dandy for size and convenience.
And I can echo the concerns over driver matters in this setup.
In almost all cases we print to screen and let the user decide to send it to a printer or not. When I want to store documents permanently, they go directly to PDF on the server disk and then get LAUNCHed.
Moving a user from RB6.5 to 7.1 runtime on terminal services.
One of the issues has been slow printing. My concern in 7.1 is that the default is to display the report and then print it and wondering what others have found in terms of printing speed.
I thought I might have them save the report on the server as a pdf file and then email to their local PC to print. Any tips appreciated.
