I have found over the years that as long as one user remains connected, and
disconnects normally, database corruption is rare. I guess the last logout
resets the pointers or something like that. When I have had to kill a last
user's session, I have started an R:Base session and connected to the db
before killing the user's session, and then exiting the "saviour" session.
