Fair enough - and I'll be the last to defend the former British Motor Industry - but if you don't build the cars the Japanese want to own then you ain't gonna sell 'em any no matter what the trade barriers.
Speaking personally, I like my cars small, light and not turbo-charged. I can put up with a lot of discomfort for the added fun on the twisties. And I scare Mr. Rochford witless whilst driving gently. I've never tried knocking on with him in the car . . .
