I didn't get yet to the sync method but what I've seen from the generated files 
it seems that is an array of Objects with 2 methods, getOldBean() and 
GetNewBean() so you can compare them to decide how to handle the changes. 

I'll connect remotly again and I'll copy here what I've got so far.

Hmm, thinking about it, the FDS / assembler mechanism might not be
able to create appropriate record objects so maybe using the
underlying gateway / dao / to is the "right" way to handle this, even
tho' it's a bit ugly...

How are you handling sync(), exactly? Could you post your assembler CFC?
