No. The CF Adapter already does that for general AS / CFC interop via Flash Remoting. If you have a bean in CF with <cfproperty/> tags (and get/set methods), then the CF Adapter knows how to translate the data back and forth already.

The assembler is very specific to data grid binding, as I understand it, providing a standardized server-side interface (four methods) for managing persistent data.
