Yes, it is Intel. I have a G5 PPC too. I bought this about a month
ago. The IDE is not a Universal, runs under Rosetta. No...it's a
little faster actually under Rosetta than on my PPC, but not much.
It's the PPC that this is really about...

If so the IDE is not a universal binary which means it's running
under emulation and you are takinga big speed hit...
I knew the IDE would not be a universal binary for a good while
which is which is one of the reasons i bought the Dual Core G5 when
i knew the Intel's were coming.
BTW a dual core/processor does help if you are running multiple
apps. I usually have at least iTunes and Mail running when I'm
working on RB so the Dual processor does help a bit.
