Virtual PC is not supported on the new Intel Macs (and why should
it be? That would be double-emulation)...
Or no emulation at all. Hopefully they'll port VMWare to Mac Intel,
and we can run Windows at near-native speeds.
Virtual PC on Windows is true virtualization, not emulation, just like
VMWare. So hopefully they will soon port it as well and offer existing VPC
users an upgrade path.
I seem to recall reading that there was already a virtualization program
available for Mac Intel that could successfully boot Windows, but now I
forget where I read it...maybe Macintouch.com?
As far as the original content of this thread...I'm not too worried about a
4 month timeline. If it doesn't run over, I'm fine with that. I just don't
want to be without Universal Binaries a year down the road.
