Another question regarding drag and drop on an application:
I understand the determination whether a file is droppable on an app (by
the fact that the app lights up when the file hovers over it) is reliant on
the File Types in the project.
What about the specifics? I have an instance that doesn't seem to follow.
I have several file types in my project, here's a couple:
Mac Creator: ????
Mac Type: WAVE
Extension: .wav
Mac Creator: ????
Mac Type: AIFF
Extension: .aif;.aiff;.aifc
Mac Creator: ????
Mac Type: ???
Extension:
I have a file called hiphop.aiff, and it is typed AIFF (I check in XRay).
It drops fine.
I have another file called relax.wav, it is not typed (all zero), but it
does not light up the icon. (Makes sense, perhaps)
I have another file called relax.wav, it is typed WAVE, but it does not
light up the icon.
Why?
Further, if a file is not typed, should the app not pay attention to the
name extension, or is that completely irrelevant?
