It is unfortunately a very hopeless common US
american corporate misconception that you can
cover Europe by having a single headquarter.
Europe is not the United States, and the idea is
just a waste of time and money. We have for
example many languages, and the knowledge of
other market cultures within the Union is often
very limited. From a Scandinavian point of
view, a headquarter in France is virtually the
same as no headquarter at all in Europe. Better
to split it in regions with some local knowledge
or skip it all together.
