In the PR, Geoff states "We want to give our award-winning product
REALbasic the place it deserves in France and in Europe,", yet the

A much more appropriate choice would be a country where the support
staff can actually speak English or more than one language, such as
Denmark, Germany, UK or Ireland.
Perhaps, long-term, the goal is to have bases in Germany, UK, Italy
etc. Maybe France is just a stepping stone...?
All the best,
Mark.
No, if that was their objective, they would have looked at the
opportunities already present. There were two obvious choices for that:
1) UK based Nova (Guy's much appraised venture, that I am VERY sorry
to see being forced out of business)
2) The Netherlands based Inventive Systems (that I did my first
dealings with until I found out about Guy's better offer/service),
who were (and still are, according to their website www.realbasic.nl)
"... your contact for REALbasic in the Benelux" (!). They actually
have their site in Dutch, English AND French!
So why the move? I don't know, I feel sorry to see Nova go, I guess
I'll be returning to Inventive (if they stay in business, that is).
[To RS: all the good things you've read so-far about Guy/Nova are
true; you squandered a GREAT opportunity there]
my 2 cents.
Cheers
Robert
