Ive read enough reports to show that
France represents about 1/2 to 2/3 of Germany in terms of unit sales.
are you talking mac only or all softwares ?
yes, no doubt germany is way bigger market for software on all platform.
gemany is also 30% bigger in popultation than france now.
and france gets one of the highest piracy rate of europe (maybe even
number one lol)
so hardware is different from software.
althougt i remmeber pretty clearly that in the late 90s, france that
second hardware market in the world after usa.
germany was then one of the lowest market share for apple vs win in
all europe.
but things have changed
fist because Apple for couple years, for some reasons, doesn't give
anymore his macinthosh units sales (but for ipod they do for
worldwide total.), so now we have only figures from marketing
studies in each country.
and it's now possible that england may sell more macs now than
france. (i'm not 100% sure, but i heard that somewhere)
japan also increases it's apple market share. (was very low too),
germany too. while france for some reasons didn't increase his comps
sales as much as other countries. (i've wrote many pages on france,
it's decline, it's conservtism ect...). and if i have for voted in RS
in europe, i would have voted for danemark or holland. Because
beetween bruxelles and scockholm, you have the most modern countries
of the world. And those countries are more opened minded for computer
technologies.
oki, oki sorry enough of politic OT, i'll shut up lol.
