On the Mac, the SourceForge CVS of the Mac 8.1.4 release of pg has been having issues. The maintainer has suggested he is going to migrate to an in-house server. The issues with pg are mainly support related for clients. Without the base of consultants and users that we see for MySQL, it is a tough sell. People do not understand the MySQL license. One "loophole" I have cleared with MySQL is including support for multiple databases and letting users select the database server. (I kept the e-mail on this, for my own legal tail feathers.)

I'd like to see more support for pg. Navicat's support for pg is now improving and with Navicat you have an excelling pg tool on several platforms, including the Mac. (I beta tested Navicat pg on the Mac.)

Real Software has every reason and surely every intention of supporting as many database platforms as possible. That's one reason people can use RB in IT settings, if they want.
