Is it that the EditField is inadequate for a cross-platform solution, or
that it is just plain inadequate in any application?
My opinion is that it is very inadequate, especially on the Mac, but
that it has nothing to do with insufficient cross-platform. It is just
an old, out-dated, control that should have been updated a long time ago.
But what motivation does REAL have to fix it if more people are
unwilling to complain about it?
