If we wanted to try out MSSQL, some questions:

1. It seems that there is a 2008 version as well. Is that OK, or must
one use 2005?

2. What is an example value for "Server" in the configuration? I am not
sure what
the value should be for YOURSERVER. Is this a single name? For
mysql, for example,
I would not know what to put here. There are only db names.

3. Does one create a blank db as one does in opensim when using mysql?

Presumably, the goal is to wrap all of this into the existing db used
for opensim (i.e., prims created via Rex should go in the same tables
already used in
opensim, and rex-specific things such as meshes are put in separate
tables, but
in the same database) ? The default, and most widely used, is sqlite
followed
by mysql (for larger grids).
