Either create a file in /etc/rc.d name rc.serial (remember to make it an
executable shell script like rc.local) and add the setserial command there, or
just add it to the end of rc.local.
Why are you fighting with scripts? Have you tried using netcfg? Just "add" a
PPP link, make it use PAP, mark it as user controllable, and you're done. Use
usernet to bring the link up and down.
