Hi Brian,

In my years as a tech at a Mot MSS, we were told that most Motorola
PA's  perform to spec until about 50% rated power.  For a 25W radio, I
have run them at 10W with no problems.  At 10W, with a good fan, I'd
say a Maxtrac/Radius mobile would probably be ok for continuous duty.
