I would like to Add My experience with the UHF Maxtrac. I wanted to use a
UHF Maxtrac as the Exciter at 2 Watts to drive a Mot amp. So I had a friend
that had Two He Handed Me the 2 Watt Pa Unit that was used in a Hospital
Linking System , and I put it down ask about the Nice Clean other one
Which was a 25 Watt unit , Well of Course Stupidly kicked in and I wanted
the High Power one and I would Just Program it for Two watts. and it should
run nice and cool . My old time Mot friend said I would Back .
I programmed it up 2 Watts Put it on the repeater Worked Got HOT I Put a
Muffin fan on Pa Still got Hot, So I took it back and got the other one and
Hooked it up at Two watts ran nice and Cool no fan needed . I now have a
all Micor System.
He was right someone Might want to put Why this is true in Layman language
