Mounting the Squalo vertically will probably give you some sort of wierd directional pattern, not good for a repeater. I would opt for a ground plane or base loaded mobile whip mounted over a set of 3 or 4 1/4 wave ground radials.
What is your height restriction? How for are you from metal above and below the place you want to mount the antenna?
