That would definately earn you the "hammie" award, which is a downward look from the commercial guys. Also, DDRRs are notoriously touchy about the local environment and tuning. Expect a 500KHz wide 2:1 and if anything changes within a wavelength or less of the antenna, it's tuning will change.
