:/ no luck

[r...@home]# echo $http_proxy

[r...@home]# echo $httpproxy

[r...@home]# echo $HTTP_PROXY

[r...@home]# echo $HTTPPROXY

[r...@home]#


I tried setting them to "" anyway to see what would happen and got the
same hang followed by the same error dump.
