Hmm. I can't even stop people posting attachments, and now you ask me to
hunt the Snark*. There may be trouble deciding between necessary and
unnecessary snarkiness... and then defining the threshold...

Actually I think Jon was being a little snarky himself. He thinks he
already knows how to extract single crystal data from powder samples, using
the SR methods to which he refers. And he's right in principle :-) If you
have enough intensity you can collect single crystal data from individual
powder grains, or even individual molecules with a FEL.

The days of (x-ray) "powder diffraction" may indeed be numbered :-)
