You are quoting from one of many guides to using EAC. It is written by
a user not the program's developer. When I was researching things a
year ago, I bookmarked 16 different guides or forum threads containing
extensive advice on using EAC. I stopped at that point. Those guides
don't agree and most mix a lot of opinion with little or no
experimental evidence.

I tried out some combinations of settings and commands and went with
secure mode and the test&Copy command. Since EAC isn't well documented
by its developer, I like to see the matching or no matching CRCs so that
I know what happened. I want to rip once and have confidence that I got
the job done right.

Your choice might be different. Using burst mode with AccurateRip is
an attractive alternative if your CDs are in that database. Using
BurstMode with the Test&Copy command is a possibility.

However, if I wanted to explore, I'd try DBPowerAmp which integrates
these possibilities and C2 error correction. And there are real poeple
still working on that software.
