Ok I started by reading this article:

http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.cgi?MultiDisc

The I ripped my 2 CD set of Berlioz's Requem using dbpowerAmp CD Ripper
and making sure the disc settings are correct.

Just to check, I installed and checked my tags with the suggested
program in the article 'Tag&Rename'.

Here is a screen shot showing the tracks from that program:

www.willyhoops.com/images/slimproblem1.gif

Notice that the file '101 Requiem - Kyrie.flac' is track 1 of the first
disc, and then you see '102 Dies irae - Tuba mirum.flac' for track 2 of
disc 1, etc... Then to '201 Sanctus.flac' for the track 1 of disc 2
etc.

Notice the the Album name and all other tags are identical as suggested
by the article...

Now look at what i see in Slim server at this screen shot:

www.willyhoops.com/images/slimproblem2.gif

Notice that Slim server is not putting the files into order properly.
It's not just the display, if I click play I hear track one from disc
one followed by track 1 from disc two which makes for a very strange
Requiem recording!

Yes I have followed the instruction to change my Slim Server Multi Disc
settings:

Under:

>>>>>>>>>>>
GROUP DISCS
You can specify if multiple disc sets are treated as a single album
(with a single name) or as multiple albums, each with a unique name per
disc, for example "Album Title (Disc 2 of 3)". Changing this setting
will start a rescan of your music library.
>>>>>>>>>>>

I have "Treat muti-disc sets as a single album" selected.

I have also cleared and rescanned my collection since making these
changes.

Also i am running the latest slim server downloaded a few days ago.

PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!!

I have 600 CDs to scan and after three evenings playing with this I am
worried the girlfriend is going to leave me before I get the job done
:-)
