With multidisc for classical, you need to ignore the actual CDs totally
- they usually make little or no sense. I just bought a Mahler
symphony box set, and they were all split (seemingly) randomly across
CDs - useless for CD listening, but you're fine with the SB3.

Use a tagger that allows you to renumber easily (I use MP3Tag).
Re-sort or temporarily rename the albums so that they are in the right
order, then renumber them all. Finally, set the album name to Requiem
(or whatever), and you have your music in a rational order.

I use the album name solely for the name of the piece of music. As
soon as I rip stuff, I end up removing the original CD information. If
you ever want to play the original CD, you can create a playlist of it.

Moral: happiness is the ability to liberate yourself from the
constraints of 80 minute CDs :)
