Hello, First Tread! Forum is a bit confusing perhaps that is because I am blind and having trouble finding what is apropriate for this thread. Hope I am right here, since I didn't find a forum for Squeezebox and Transporter themselves. My question is: Can I 1. have a decent cd player connected to a transporter via spdif and 2. stream the input to A) My Amplifier via xlr analog balanced and b) grep the same stream from transporter's IP:someport as wav with a computer in an other room and (all at a time) 3. transcode the pcm to flac on the fly (which I would write a listener script for). This would enable me to listen to a newly bought cd while it gets ripped with no quality problems caused by a bad dvd drive in my computer (always assuming that the player is better and :) more expensive). Or is that voodoo anyway? The whole question in one sentence would be: Transporter gets a network stream to hifi equipment. Can it do the trick vice versa i.e get a hifi input on the network???
