Hello Sean, firstly let me say it is great great work you folks have done enabling me (a blind person) to listen to my music without shuffling cds which arn't distinguishable for a nonsighted person by their covers or anything. Just shining discs. :) That's really enriching my life. :)

Ripping on a computer is actually much more reliable that what > an audio CD player can do. > OK, now you have made a statement that if it was true would all together make high end cd players from marantz or any companny proud of there long standing tradition of high end fine tuned cd players obsolete all together! If a computer with a 40$ dvd drive and a good ripping software i.e cdparanoia or exact audio copy does a better job in extracting the data from a cd why have players for 400 or even 4000 bugs? Being the ceo of a company mainly coping with already extracted music you are well of with that statement. So where are you traditional hifi fanatics. I wait for your angry bettle against such a statement. But I think it is the wrong forum here. Well, so much about hifi is believe, even religion some times I feel. But you got me right. I would suspect that a $40 cd drive in a computer isn't doing as much error correction or even accurate reading as a high end cd player. Or why should one make them. It isn't all about good digital to analog converters is it? Looking forward to open debate in which I will eventually learn something.
