Jeronimo, That seems to be the world is going. Many people have sold their very expensive CD players in favour of a Squeezebox. The audiophle press is not yet totally convinced, but who cares about them? ...and yes, in my opinion it is pretty much about DACs once you have a decent source of bits and clock...like a Squeezebox, $40 cd or dvd player or a $10,000 Transport. The Transporter appears to have a very good DAC inside it and may outperform many high-end CD players. As far as I am concerned, the SB 2 or SB3 already do with the right external DAC.
