The freedb does a decent job finding 99% of CDs, but the quality of the
results can be low.

MusicBrainz on the other hand has much higher data quality, but seems
to have a 95% hit rate.

I would setup EAC to use MusicBrainz as a primary tag source, and
freedb as a backup source.

I also use the beta musicbrainz picard tagger with the lastfm and
amazon plugins to get good genre tags and album art.
