I have approx 650 CD's ripped with EAC to FLAC. I have had EAC set to include ID3v2 tags with the FLAC tags. All works well with SC 7.0.1.
I used Foobar 2000 to also convert them all to mp3. I recently purchased a Cowon D2 portable player. The player will read the tags on the mp3's just fine, but will not read the tags on the FLAC files. MP3Tag reports the FLAC tags as "FLAC ID3v2". I saw in this forum where MP3Tag will strip out the ID3v2 tags from the FLAC tags, if you cut the tag to the clipboard and then paste it back in win MP3Tag. This does appear to work - the resultant tag just reads "FLAC" and can be read by the cowon D2. However, the process is very slow and would take forever on 9,000+ tracks. Is there an automated method of converting the FLAC-ID3v2 tags to FLAC? I am running SC 7 on Vista Basic on my music server, but I could also use a Win XP machine and do the conversion over the network, I suppose. aAny help will be appreciated ! -- whdean ------------------------------------------------------------------------ whdean's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9127 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=47712 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
