getting back to the original point in all seriousness... when you say:
"My reasoning is that I don't particularly want to see more options being added due to bugs raised that are not bugs. Extra unnecessary options that could make the software slower, more permutations to making it harder to maintain/test, etc." i have to laugh, b/c the "extra, unnecessary" thing is the VA detection logic. removing it makes SC simpler, not more complex. and when i say "removing" i just mean making it possible to turn it off. using it, makes what SC does more complex, less simple, esp if its going to give users funky inaccurate results, as it CAN do, and also be buggy, which it is. i mean honestly, whats "simpler?" a pgm that uses an extra logic function, or one that doesn't? seems obvious enough to me. -- MrSinatra www.LION-Radio.org Using: Squeezebox2 (primary) / SBR (secondary) / SBC - w/SC 7.3b - Win XP Pro SP3 - 3.2ghz / 2gig ram - D-Link DIR-655 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ MrSinatra's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2336 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=56078 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
