Looks like I'm almost too late to reply! I converted your file here and gave it a whirl, and had no problems with it. (As a FLAC that is; as a WAV it didn't work, but I suspect that's down to my NAS.) But you can probably guess that given your later replies.

Strange thought that from > dts to dts-wav the filesize doubles, and it halves again when converted > to flac. The reason is that the conversion must create frames of a certain length (equivalent to the size of 2-channel WAV, IIRC) but has lossily compressed data to fill each frame with which is much smaller -- so it pads each frame with lots of empty data. That empty data compresses well, so converting to FLAC makes it small again. (The non-empty data doesn't compress well, so we end up with a FLAC about the same size as the original file.) > edit2: Ah, found the cause for the first error; After tagging the flac's > with my favorite tagger 'The Godfather', the stuttering is back.. Do try another tagger, yes please. -- smst ------------------------------------------------------------------------ smst's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=752 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=19260 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
