I'm not sure where you found that quote of mine, or how old it is, but
I've been doing this for over 2-years.  I do have both AC3 and DTS
software encoders that run in ProTools.  I'll load the extracted 5.1
files in ProTools, set the metadata for the file and encode away.  When
I'm done I've got an encoded WAV file that I convert to FLAC.  Works
great.. it just REALLY takes a lot of time to do.
