It is simple, but the Dolby and DTS plugins I use are quite costly, not to mention having to purchase ProTools. The encoders I use are from http://neyrinck.com and work GREAT! There are others that have just been released from http://www.minnetonkaaudio.com/products/surcode.html.
Hold on to your wallet in ALL cases. These are professional encoding products meant for fulltime facilities. The Neyrinck products were $1000 each when I bought them 3-years ago.
