I think this is it.

I just tried to change the filename of the last track from "Song3.mp3"
to "Song0.mp3" (without retagging) and then it's Song2.mp that is
considered to be the last track on disk 1. So it seems like it scans
the track in alphabetic order, at least on Linux. The default ordering
might be defined by the operating system so it might be a different
ordering on Windows.
