I do it like this: "artist - (year) albumtitle/folder.jpg". As for organizing blues in that way because they didn't have albums in the 1930s and using composer portrait instead of the actual cover art, I think you'll maybe regret it later :)
When you get several different version of an album and use the same cover art for all of them, doesn't the use of cover art lose some meaning then?
