Pete,

The short answer to your question is no. Squeezeboxes, or SqueezeBox
Server (SBS), do not decode DTS or AC3 (Dolby Digital) but they can pass
those formats through their digital outputs in an unaltered bitstream
for your surround sound receiver/amp to decode. If you do some more
reading of posts in this forum and some of the wiki articles you will
find all the information you need to understand what your options may
be.
