Pete, The short answer to your question is no. Squeezeboxes, or SqueezeBox Server (SBS), do not decode DTS or AC3 (Dolby Digital) but they can pass those formats through their digital outputs in an unaltered bitstream for your surround sound receiver/amp to decode.
