All great advice. I started w/EAC, but heard so much about dbpoweramp that I gave it a try; it is now my favorite. As others have said rip to flac, and portable formats can easily be made if required.
I picked up an external 2TB drive for all my music collection. It is so nice not to have to go to the CD shelf and search.
