A quick note regarding getting musicbrainz tags (should you choose to) prior to running the acoustic id analysis. You can run your library through puddletag's masstagger and have it retrieve musicbrainz specific tags, e.g.:
# mbrainz_album_id: MusicBrainzs unique identifier for the album. # mbrainz_artist_id: The unique MusicBrainz identifier for the artist. # musicip_puid: PUIDs associated with the track. PUID retrieval requires polling MusicBrainz for each track therefore its disabled by default. # mbrainz_rating: The albums rating according to MusicBrainz. # mbrainz_track_id: MusicBrainzs unique ID for the track. The masstagger can be confiured so it only retrieves the specific fields you're after e.g. only fetch mbrainz_album_id, mbrainz_artist_id and mbrainz_track_id, thus leaving existing artist, album, title etc. metadata untouched. After running it'll present you with it's proposed changes/ additions, which can be accepted/ rejected at a field/track or album level. -- audiomuze *'Linux finally gets a great audio tagger' (http://www.ubuntugeek.com/linux-finally-gets-a-great-audio-tagger.html): 'puddletag' (http://puddletag.sourceforge.net/)* ------------------------------------------------------------------------ audiomuze's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=33613 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=88515
