I tried to submit in batches. The last and biggest batch, some 61k tracks, I started last night. In the morning Win XP had restarted the PC following a system update and I was not sure if the tracks had been submitted. Therefore I started the program again, but now it has crashed 3 times in a row after less than 1,000 tracks. The first crash occurred about the same time as my automatic backup via FTP over Internet started. The last time I started the program and it crashed the backup was finished. I will do a couple of more attempts before giving up.
The program did use a lot of CPU but I had no issues before the crashes. It was faster than I had expected. A few notes about my tags (no MB data or PUIDs apart from some stray tags from when I tried having MusicIP to write those tags to some files): On reissues, the year is set to the release year of the original album. If a reissue contains more than one complete previous release, I tag the tracks as if they were tracks of the original releases. Bonus tracks will have [Bonus Track] appended to the track name. Tracks that are live on what is mostly a studio album will have [Live] appended to the file name and vice versa for studio tracks on a live album ([Studio]). The track and album names can also have stuff appended between square brackets. When an artist has name variations, John Cougar Mellencamp for example, and when one artist has made solo albums and albums with a band, Neil Young for example, the album artist name is unified and may not be correct for the individual release, but the track artists will be set correctly for each track in the album. In some cases the album artist will be set correctly, but the track artists will be set to he individuals playing. An Ike & Tina Turner album will for example have the correct album artist set and the track artist set to Ike Turner; Tina Turner. A track by that group on a VA album will have Ike & Tina Turner; Ike Turner; Tina Turner set as track artist Some singles and other stray tracks are grouped together under a virtual album name and will not in all cases have the correct track number or year information. -- vagskal 2 x SB3 (wired), Receiver (wired), Boom (wireless), Controller, iPeng on iPhone 4 & iPad, muso on remote computer running Win 7 64-bit | 7.5.4 (r32171) on Win XP ------------------------------------------------------------------------ vagskal's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=20778 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=88515 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/ripping
