offer the option of writing the results to tags. If you'd prefer not
to write to tags, then an XML file output would probably be best suited
to enabling a tagger to write the ID to the underlying track's metadata.

Something else to note (I'm not sure how pervasive this is, but I know
I'm not alone): Many albums in my collection are DVD, DVD Audio, or
high resolution e.g. 24/96 stuff. To differentiate these for playback
purposes I often append additional metadata in the album title e.g.
"Theology Live at the Sugar Club [DVD Rip 1648]" or "New Gold Dream
(81-82-83-84) [DVD Audio Rip 2496]", or "Razors Edge [2003 Remaster]",
or "Anna Netrebko - Opera Arias [HDTracks 2488.2]". The stuff in
brackets will cause the musicbrainz matching to fail, but the
underlying metadata is in fact correct. So, I guess where I'm going
with this is you're probably going to have to incorporate logic into
your code that tries to find a match including and excluding stuff at
the end of the album string contained between any of ({[]}]).
