Our current repo is rsyncable from
  rsync -av svn.code.sf.net::p/rkward/code rkwardsvn

I have set up an intial ruleset: 

(I'm not uploading the authors map, but can send it to you in PM, if needed). 
That seems to work quite fine for the most part. However when trying to push 
to a scratch repo for testing, I get:

Alright. These problems are fixed at HEAD, but how do I get the old - bad - 
commits in?
