I don't seem to have issue with this. Typically you need to adopt the terminology of your stakeholders when you are developing in UML so that the stakeholders can understand what you are presenting and readily discern the value. Your board is predominantely comprised of your economic stakeholders. Hence, you need to make your business case in financial terms rather than in terms of perceived value or benefit.
