Wow. So the API includes something that can't possibly work with tools
that are actually distributed by anyone. You'd have thought the kdesdk
would at least include the modified gettext with a new name, rather
than just a patch -- that way at least Debian etc would have it.
What output would be expected to be produced by this hack? For example,
in the case
i18n("1 pixel", "%n pixels", sizes[i])
where we currently just get
#: ../gui/notationview.cpp:2121
#, fuzzy
msgid "1 pixel"
msgstr "%1 пиксел"
what would we expect to get instead? (I'm really wondering whether it
wouldn't be easier to produce the same result, for the particular cases
we have, by writing a bit of Perl and sticking it in our scripts
directory -- given that we have a requirement for more than one user to
be able to regenerate the .po files and we certainly can't assume
they'll all have built their own version of gettext.)
