Sorry Chris, I figured you'd agree so I went ahead and implemented it. Perhaps 
the dialog should clearly state that a given chord is a custom one, but I'm 
not sure how to do that.

Now what remains to be decided is how to sort those chords... I'm not sure a 
classification based on musical style would be practical, at least because I 
have no clue on how to do it properly :-). I don't feel much like debating on 
whether D9 is a rock chord or not, and I haven't got the faintest idea on 
what chords Country or Reggae is based on. I'd rather go for a simple 
classification over complexity. This page shows 3 categories : beginner, 
common, all :
