I think we've always tried to shy away from that level of providing people the means to create spaghetti, but I don't think it's always right. In fact, there have been lots of "not quite a real sequencer" decisions I've disagreed with over the years, and lots of "not quite a real notation editor" decisions too. When I think about it, working at this project has been one of the most frustrating and unrewarding experiences of my life. But I have the power to do whatever the hell I want in Flower Patch, and I'm never actually going to fork Rosegarden, so I just lose a little more heart each time, and grow more dead inside, and more apathetic. Keeping the faith is hard. What we're trying to accomplish is actually very daunting, and I'm the moody, depressive type. Not a good fit. I keep trying to get fired, but it never works. -- D.
