I'm not sure what exactly you are referring to.  The sequencer certainly 
handles pitch bends.  We even have example files that use them in 
guitar parts, such as stormy-riders.rg.  They're hard to edit once 
recorded, but that's a different problem.

What Michael and I seem to be more or less agreeing on is that it isn't 
necessarily a good trade-off to change the channel management in 
Rosegarden (i.e. the association of a single channel with each track -- 
in essence, the definition of a MIDI track in Rosegarden is "a set of 
events that all play to the same channel") just to provide automatic 
playback of a particular idiom that guitarists use to work around the 
limitations of MIDI pitch bends -- namely sending notes to more than 
one channel at once because pitch bends in MIDI cannot be applied to 
individual notes but only to whole channels.  That limitation is built 
in to MIDI, it has nothing to do with the sequencer being Rosegarden.

That said, there could be workarounds that wouldn't involve changing the 
whole model (as Pedro suggests).
