The S Scale NMRA recomended car wgt is 2 oz + 1/2 oz per inch. I have used
this for several years and find a great improvement in operation.

I have used lead wgts thrown out by tire balancing places and also a vaiety
of hardware, mostly different sizes of nuts. A postage scale is very
helpful. Don't forget to glue the wgts to the car floor, preferably over the
trucks. With some cars you have to be "creative" but after you've done a few
it goes pretty fast.

Best Wishes, Chuck Porter
