"Waaaaaay back when" my dad used to work at the KC Star!!  I remember 
sitting with mom in our '59 Chevy waiting waiting for dad to come out the 
front door and make his way to the car.  Too young to realize there was rail 
service in the back!!

What road?  When did this cease?  I have some very early vague mental images 
of rickety track running through alleys, images that are NOT the West 
Bottoms area mental images... could this be them?

Roy, I take it you live in the KC area?  Have you been over to the West 
Bottoms area lately?  If so, how much more has been razed in the past 2 
years?  I really NEED to get up there and get texture photos of what remains 
before it's too late.  Alas, don't see it happening for some time yet.
