Hi dave.....

I have not purchased any of the DPH/PRS RTR cars because of the
weight issue. I buy PRS kits on eBay and use only very small amounts
of weight if any at all. Yup, I am in the minority here, but it is
my layout and I can do what I want. Minority guys suffer -- ask me
how I know.

The RTR cars are all glued together and the weight is glued inside.
I have yet to figure out how to unglue the car, remove the weight,
and reglue the car and have a nice looking model without damage when
all finished. How's that for a modeling question? Any solutions out
there? To me, the easiest solution is to simply put some of the
readily available undec parts in a box and call them a "kit". Thus,
a bigger can opener is probably not the best answer.

Regardless, feel free to drop in and visit. I will have an open RR
house on Friday evening of O SCALE WEST+S from 6:45PM until 11:00PM.
Trains will be a runnin' and whistles a blowin'.

Cheers...Ed L.
