Nope, I haven't seen the River Raisin steam models... because I can't afford
them (one of my points about brass).  But just curious... since you say they
ran "best" of all OOTB brass you've seen, does that mean they only ran
"better" than the others and not necessarily "as they should?"

I admit that I've only had brass DIESELS in the past, not steam (a River
Raisin diesel (E-8)).  However, I have seen brass STEAM models that flat-out
refused to stay on the track about 80% of the time.

I'd love to see some of the River Raisin steam stuff operate to see if its
any better than those I've seen before.
